JIM'S BIG EGO: unpop for the unpopulous!

Hi folks,

I've been recording an album of songs that I wrote between December 15, 2024 and July 10, 2025. Out of the 31 I finished, I found 13 that I thought needed a recording. Assemble Yourself is an acoustic album, featuring only my voice and guitar, and I recorded it at Melville Park Studios with Steve Friedman, where I recorded Strawman 32 years ago in 1993. It will be available first on the Jim's Big Ego bandcamp site and later as a CD in November, before going to streaming in December. Track listing as follows:

You might be familiar with all or some of these songs from my song-a-week stint earlier this year - they are all up in some early form on our youtube account.

I will be playing some tracks on Sound and Fury/Radio With A View with Dave Goodman on WMBR this Sunday at 10am Eastern when I visit the studio to do a live gig. Marc Stern might show up remotely. Dave and Marc have already been playing "I Will Not Be Silent" from the youtube recording. I'm looking forward to playing on air again.

That's the album news - I also have some cool shows coming up in the next few weeks and look forward to some hotel room showcases at NERFA in Albany.
